Originally compiled thanks to Al Crawford and others in the early 1990s, the Combined Icicle Works/Ian McNabb Discography has grown incredibly over the last four or five years, not only as Ian McNabb releases new material, but as fans find an increasing number of obscure versions of released versions. The discography is now split into three main parts covering The Icicle Works, Ian McNabb, and Various Artists Compilations. The discography contains everything we've been able to find from Ascending in March 1981 to Ian McNabb in April 2001. It also contains Various Artist Compilations right through to 2002.

• The War Against Silence reviews Ian McNabb album. Glenn McDonald writes, "I am content to let this be a new beginning, and wait to see where it leads him."
• The War Against Silence reviews Party Political... Glenn McDonald writes, "It is a cruel trick this album plays, beckoning us to gather round and then spitting rancor, but when you ask for truths that bear the marks of human hands, sometimes you get them." His review is somewhat mixed, but he points out that the strangeness of the sound causes him to focus on the lyrics more than usual, and he speculates that that was Ian's intent.
