"No band but a whole load of songs" is how McNabb describes the evening. With 20 YEARS (!) of solo and Icicle Works back-catalogue to pick from, he's spoilt for choice, but still manages to preview a handful of new songs - such as the cheeky "Pampered Pop Star Millionaire Miserabilist Blues." Even in this stripped-bare setting, McNabb thoroughly entertains an enthusiastic crowd for 2 1/2 hours. An achievement few, if any, could match. 8/10. Channel 4 Teletext |
